Vijay Eswaran founded a company a while back that has changed people’s lives in the way they do business. This company is QI Group, owner of several subsidiaries including QNET, QI Asset Management and Q Lifestyle. The business model of QI Group is primarily direct selling, where salespeople buy QI’s products and then can resell them to their own customers. This company has helped many people with low income and little resources get started running their own business and generating their own income. Products that Eswaran’s company distributes include health and beauty products, air purifiers, jewelry, and even travel programs and automotive care.
Vijay Eswaran has many talents and has learned professional skills over the course of his career. He graduated from two prominent universities in the US and the UK, and he began in the information technology industry working for IBM in various locations around the world. He decided he wanted to start a business that would not only earn profits for him, but would also benefit people in the Asian communities. In 1998, Eswaran started QI Group along with his friend Joseph Bismarck, with the main company offices in Singapore, Hong Kong and Thailand but with a network spanning across the globe. Eswaran also started going into real estate investments through QI Asset Management, a company with holdings in many high quality Asian properties.
Vijay Eswaran also believes in spirituality as an important factor in the workplace. He engages and encourages fellow entrepreneurs to employ spiritual practices such as meditation, special dieting and medicines and has even written books about this such as In The Sphere Of Silence and In The Thinking Zone. Eswaran is also one of the founders of RHYTHM Foundation, a non-profit group through which QI has donated to impoverished communities, supported health programs and learning programs for disabled people, and supporting women in the workplace. His generosity to his local communities has earned him a top spot on Forbes Asia’s 2011 Heroes of Philanthropy. Eswaran has also spoken and hosted seminars on business leadership across many international universities and business forums.
