Jason Hope believes Fountain of Youth may someday be found

Jason Hope has made a name for himself as one of Arizona’s most famous internet entrepreneurs. He is responsible for one of the first premium mobile content providers, Jawa. This company beat Apple to the premium content streaming market by more than 10 years, demonstrating Hope’s innate talent as an internet entrepreneur. However, Hope has also had a lifelong interest in the power of medical science to intervene in nature’s course and save the seriously sick from certain death. To this end, he has long been active in philanthropy in the medical field.

One of his most recent contributions has been to the SENS Foundation, an organization dedicated to the research of aging-related diseases.Always being a breast of the cutting edge in medical research, Hope has long known that the underlying processes and the disease of atherosclerosis are widely known to be related to other conditions that affect those of advancing age. Hope has donated more than half a million dollars to the SENS Foundation in an effort to gain more profound understanding into the molecular processes that lead to atherosclerosis and other, similar degenerative diseases of aging.Hope believes that the same process of slight injury followed by an inflammatory response that underlies atherosclerosis also will hold the key to the prevention and treatment of diseases as wide-ranging as arthritis, glaucoma and even the inevitable aging of the skin. Hope believes that these processes are largely the product of micro injury followed by an inflammatory response.

This view is backed by an increasingly large body of modern scientific research that tends to point in the direction of inflammatory processes as being a key component in the aging process. The SENS Foundation has stated that Hope’s donation will be of immense help, funding a team of full-time researchers for more than a year. This will be a significant contributor to the coming year’s activities for the foundation, allowing for a level of research that would not have otherwise been possible. The SENS Foundation thanks Hope profusely for his generosity, noting that it is mostly through magnanimous philanthropists such as Hope that medical research in this country moves forward.
