Jim Toner is a medical fertility doctor who graduated from St. Joseph College with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology. Upon graduation he began the Medical Science Training Program at the University of Pennsylvania where he was awarded both his master’s and Doctorate degree in 1985. Once a doctor, he had the privilege of pursuing his residency and fellowship training at the Jones Institute under its founder Dr. Howard W. Jones.
Toner’s gift of teaching received him the Resident of the Year Award in 1989 and he was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha, a medical honor society, in 1990. These Awards led him to being asked to join the faculty at the Jones Institute where he became an associate professor. After his extended time at the Jones Institute for Reproductive Medicine, Dr. Jim Toner, now a specialist in reproductive endocrinology and infertility, joined the Atlanta Center for Reproductive Medicine 2000. While at the Jones Institute Dr. Toner was the director for the Institute’s Third-Party Reproduction Program and continues that program at the ACRM (American Center for Reproductive Medicine). Jim Toner now has a record of contributing research to the field of infertility and has published over 100 abstracts, 80 articles, and 20 chapters on reproductive medicine; though he is best known for his work on ovarian reserve and its impact on fertility.
For his contributions Dr. Toner has received the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists Award, as well as the Berlex Foundation Faculty Development Award, and has twice been awarded for First Prize Paper at the Professions National Meeting. Dr. Toner is a nationally recognized infertility specialist and has given over 200 speeches at local and national meetings about causes and cures of infertility. He specializes in treatment of infertility and repeat miscarriages; he is a unique doctor in that he does not just treat infertility, but also uses his psychology degree and helps treat the emotional aspects and provides individual approaches to his patients. He has blessed the country by providing a warm, but extr emely knowledgeable approach to the causes and treatments of infertility.
