Whitney Wolfe Brings A Woman’s Perspective To Imagine Entertainment

Most people know Whitney Wolfe as the Chief Executive and Founder of the popular app, Bumble. Bumble adds an interesting twist to the ordinary dating app by requiring women to make the first move in order for contact to be made. Last year, in 2017, Whitney Wolfe had a beautiful wedding in Italy to her husband, Michael Herd, after a quick engagement at his family’s ranch.

The Southern Methodist University graduate had her first experience in marketing popular social media apps as the co-founder and VP of Marketing at Tinder before moving on to start her own company. Bumble now not only helps its users find a date, they have launched other features to help users network to potential friends and business connections. These features are known as Bumble BFF and Bumble Bizz, respectively.

Recently it was announced that Whitney Wolfe’s career just became a lot busier after her appointment to the board of directors for the media production company Imagine Entertainment. While being named to this position is impressive enough, it’s important to note that Whitney Wolfe is the first woman to ever be named to the board of directors at Imagine Entertainment. Her appointment is well timed as Imagine Entertainment recently acquired Jax Media which features several hit shows that feature prominent, female celebrities. Some of these include “Inside Amy Schumer”, “Full Frontal With Samantha Bee”, and “Broad City” to name just a few. By adding Whitney Wolfe to the board of Imagine Entertainment, they are bringing a fresh new perspective that will be able to help them evolve with changing times where women are much more catered to in entertainment than they were in the past.

Brian Grazer, who co-founded Imagine Entertainment in 1986 with Ron Howard, is looking forward to working with Whitney Wolfe as he deeply admires her visionary work in all of her endeavors. Under her guidance, she managed to build a user base of more than 35 million people that have created a community that is not only strong but also empowered. It will be interesting to see what her original thinking will do for Imagine Entertainment.

Whitney Wolfe Rolls Multiple Aspects of Social Media All Into One App

Whitney Wolfe is undeniably a leader when it comes to app technology even though this is not what she actually signed up for. In the beginning she was fine with working with others as the co-founder of Tinder. This is where she initially broke ground in the app development world. In time, however, Whitney Wolfe found herself in a leadership role with own dating app company. It would become one of the most talked about dating apps and the world today. It would make her popular beyond belief, and it would finally show women in the spotlight of a CEO when it came to social media apps.

Some people might say that Whitney turned the social media world upside down when she decided to expand dating app with other components like Bumble BFF and Bumble Bizz. No one saw this coming, and it became something that frightened many competing adversaries like Kevin Systrom (founder of Instagram) and Mark Zuckerberg (of Facebook fame). Whitney Wolfe creativity has a creative spark that matches both of these social media moguls.
It appears that Whitney Wolfe has a desire to connect with the same people that are interested in apps like LinkedIn and Facebook. Whitney Wolfe is a triple threat because she has three different components of Bumble for people to engage in. This definitely makes it interesting for people that sign up for one account and get access to three different aspects of social media. The original Bumble platform is perfect for them.

There are going to be others that have a desire to build friendships and the Bumble BFF platform is going to be alluring to people that are trying to do this. It is definitely helpful because there are people that move into new cities all the time, and they may not know anyone. Dating may not be on their agenda as they move into a new city, but they may like to go out for drinks or to a movie with friends. Bumble BFF is the app that makes that possible even when someone has moved to a new city and they have no friends and this area.

What Whitney Wolfe has essentially done is roll everything into one area. People can even network and find other business associates through the Bumble Biz portion of this app. That has changed the way that people view social media today.

Whitney Wolfe’s Beautiful, Fairy Tale Wedding

Whitney Wolfe, the founder and CEO of Bumble, had a wedding earlier this month along the Amali Coast of Italy. They held a stunning wedding celebration in the perfect picturesque destination at the Villa Tre Villa in Positano. And with her having the leading date app, it’s only logical that she will have one of the most amazing, fairy tale weddings that many will be so envious over. Even her wedding gown, which is from Oscar de la Renta, was the main talk among celebrity sites for several days, perhaps weeks. And furthermore, her new hubby is a Texas oil heir, Michael Herd. Fellow girl bosses, Amber Venz Box Sophia Amoruso, were in attendance also.

About Whitney Wolfe and Bumble

Originally from Salt Lake City, Utah and as previously mentioned, Whitney Wolfe is founder and CEO of Bumble. She graduated from Southern Methodist University where she majored in International Studies. And she resides in Austin, Texas with her husband.

Bumble was established in 2014, and it is headquartered in Austin, Texas. This company began as a dating app. This company is expanding into other aspects, and it has over 11.5 million registered users. Recently, Bumble has launched the Bumble BFF which is for users who are looking for platonic friends. This company is valued at $500 million, according to Time.

Wolfe’s company is in the works of another launching called Bumble Bizz that is scheduled to start this fall. This aspect of her company is for users who want to make business contacts with no romantic ties. What makes Bumble Bizz distinctive from other business connected sites, like LinkedIn, is the networking connection process. Users will swipe from left to right at potential contacts, similar to the dating app with women reaching out first for business networking purposes only.

Wolfe has shown to be the ultimate standard of the renaissance woman. Not only is she winning in her professional life more and more, but she is winning in her personal life as well. As a matter of fact, she was also recognized in Elle in 2016 as one of the Women in Tech, and in Business Insider in 2014 as one of the 30 Most Important Women Under 30 in Tech.
