Jorge Moll’s Work

Recently Jorge Moll has worked on establishing how individuals decide on charitable decisions; whether to give or not and to what organization. This experimental study focuses on the neural bases of human altruism and how the neurons in our brains react to these actions. Jorge Moll is using magnetic resonance imaging of study participants to map what happens when said participants donate, discuss, or oppose charitable organizations. The study graphs and symbolizes how the mesolimbic reward system reacts to giving as it does with monetary rewards.

Dr. Jorge Moll has many other projects he is currently working on. Some of the projects include: Neural Correlates of Motivational Appetites and Individual Differences, Classification of Neural Patterns of Emotional States Evoked by Music, and a multitude of others. Dr. Jorge Moll is making waves with his innovative research methods in his area of science. The outcomes of his research will greatly help individuals to understand why they make the choices they make. Also his studies will help those suffering with neurological diseases.
